The Hartford Steel Symphony - 4:30-5:15PM, 6:30-7:15PM in Auditorium - The Sounds of the Caribbean come to the streets of downtown Simsbury. It may be cold outside but their music is Hot! Hot! Hot! Founded in 1987, the Hartford Steel Symphony consists of 10-15 members of West Indian heritage who perform under the leadership of Kelvin Griffith. The band is famous for its pulsating Calypso Soca, Pop, Reggae and Jazz, have performed at the City of New Haven's 35th anniversary celebration, Hartford First Night, West Indian Day Parades, University of Connecticut victory parades and the Special Olympics. SIMSBURY HISTORICAL SOCIETY - PHELPS TAVERN MUSEUM What would Twain have to say if he were alive today? Alan Kitty’s impersonation as a posthumous Twain explores the nearly inexhaustible parallels between his century and ours. Women's Praise Choir - 5:30-6:15PM in the Church Sanctuary - A close harmony group who will perform everything from gospel to pop, to classical and everything in between. A real treat! Kids of all ages can make an edible dreidel and learn how to play this fun holiday game! Make someone's holiday a little brighter by making Chanukah cards for Jewish soldiers in the U.S. Armed Forces. Gourmets of all ages can taste flavored olive oil and learn about the connection to the holiday of Chanukah. Free and open to everyone.

Pictures With Santa - 4:00-7:00PM @ Bank of America Have your child's picture taken with the real Santa Claus! $5 per photo taken by a professional photographer. Photos will be mailed to your home about 1 week after event. No personal photographs permitted. PLEASE NOTE: The picture line will be cut off at about 6:30PM so that Santa can see those children who waited in line before he has to leave for the evening. We do not want anyone to wait in line and not get to see Santa and miss out on other fun events happening outside!
Ski Sundown Rail Jam! - 4:30-7:30PM on the Front Lawn of the Bank of Amercia - Watch the skill and tricks of Ski Sundown snowboarders as they perform their high flying maneuvers. Music will be provided by THE River 105.9FM, and also look for Woofer, the River Dog.
